Ken Siteworks ("we", "us") is run by Ken, who is responsible for the website work and client communication. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this site, how we use it, and how you can contact us about your data. We keep this plain and honest.

Information collected through the enquiry form

When you send your project details through the enquiry form, you provide:

• Your name
• Your email address (so we can reply)
• Your business / organisation name
• An optional website URL for your business
• Project details / message — the information you share in the message field, such as the services you offer, your service area, and what you'd like your website to do

This information is used to respond to your enquiry, prepare a written quote, and carry out any project communication if you choose to go ahead.

If you send an estimate from the pricing calculator, the selected options may also be included with your enquiry — such as your chosen project type, page count, maintenance option, optional extras, and the estimated price. This helps us understand what you are looking for and respond with a relevant quote. Your contact details (name and email) are submitted and stored together with these selections for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.

Public forms on this site are protected by an automated bot-detection service (Cloudflare Turnstile) to prevent spam and abuse. Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical information required to detect automated traffic, as part of its check. We do not intentionally attach your IP address to the form submission itself.

When you submit an enquiry, you may optionally upload project files — such as your business logo, photographs, PDF documents, or design references. File uploads are voluntary; you can submit an enquiry without uploading anything, and you can send files later by email if you prefer.

Uploaded files are used only to help us understand your enquiry, evaluate your project, and prepare a written quote. If you go ahead with a project, the files you shared may also be used to carry out the agreed work.

Files are uploaded to and stored by the website platform's private file storage, provided by a third-party hosting and platform provider. They are not exposed through public URLs. Access is restricted to Ken Siteworks administrators. A time-limited secure download link may be included in the enquiry notification email so the site owner can access the files; that link expires after a set period.

We accept PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, and PDF files, up to 5 files per enquiry and a maximum of 10 MB per file. Files that do not meet these requirements are rejected before upload.

Information collected through the testimonial form

When you submit a testimonial, you provide:

• Your name
• Your business name
• The testimonial content you write
• An optional rating (1–5 stars)
• An optional website URL for your business
• Your consent to display the testimonial publicly

Information you share with the AI assistant

This website includes an AI chat assistant. When you use it, the messages and any information you choose to include are sent to our AI assistant service provider to generate a response and answer your questions. The assistant only answers questions about Ken Siteworks and our website services.

• Use of the assistant is voluntary — you are never required to use it.
• You should not submit sensitive personal information (such as passwords, payment details, or government ID numbers) through the assistant. The assistant does not need this information to help you.
• Ken Siteworks does not store your chat messages in its own database beyond your current session. Your messages are processed by our AI service provider to generate a response, and may be processed or retained by that provider according to its own practices.

How your information is used

• Enquiries are used to respond to your request and, if you go ahead, to prepare a written quote and carry out project communication.
• AI assistant messages are used only to respond to your questions and enquiries during the chat. If you share contact details, they may be used to follow up about your enquiry.
• Testimonials are reviewed by Ken Siteworks before any publication decision.
• We use the information collected to operate the website and the services described on it, such as displaying approved testimonials and responding to enquiries.
• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Service providers we rely on

To operate this website and the services on it, we rely on the following categories of third-party providers:

• Website hosting and platform — the website is hosted and served by a third-party website platform and hosting provider.
• File storage — uploaded project files are stored by the website platform's private file storage, which is part of the third-party hosting and platform provider's services.
• Form spam protection — public forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an automated bot-detection service, to prevent spam and abuse.
• AI assistant — messages sent to the AI assistant are processed by an AI service provider to generate responses.
• Analytics — with your consent, website usage is measured using Google Analytics 4.

Each provider processes information according to its own terms and practices. We do not knowingly pass your enquiry details to any provider beyond what is needed to operate the form, deliver the response, or measure anonymous usage as described here.

Testimonials are reviewed before publication

Submitting a testimonial does not automatically publish it. Every submission is held as pending and reviewed first. It is published on the website only if it is approved. Pending or rejected submissions that are not published may be deleted during routine review.

Cookies and Google Analytics

This website uses cookies. Necessary cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie preferences; these are always enabled. Non-essential analytics cookies are optional.

We use Google Analytics 4, with your consent, to understand how visitors use our website and to measure website performance. Google Analytics is disabled until you accept optional analytics cookies.

We also record a generate_lead analytics event when the enquiry form is successfully submitted. This allows us to measure how many website visits result in enquiries. The generate_lead event does not send your name, email address, business name, message, project details, or other information entered into the form to Google Analytics.

If you reject optional analytics cookies, Google Analytics remains disabled. You can change your cookie choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer.

Analytics information is retained in accordance with our configured Google Analytics data-retention settings and is used only to understand website usage, performance and enquiry conversions.

Analytics data may be processed by Google as a processor and is subject to Google's own privacy practices; see How Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We keep enquiries, uploaded project files, and testimonial submissions only as long as needed for the purposes described here. We have not published fixed retention periods; if you need specifics, please contact us.

Your rights and choices
